Fiber Department's Annual exhibition this Friday!


This Friday (Nov. 30, 2012) be sure to check out the End of Semester Show and Sale in the new home of the Fiber "wear-haus"Kansas CIty Art Institute's Fiber Building, 4218 Walnut St. Kansas City, MO 64111, right next to the H&R Block Art Space.  The show will have work from all Fiber students and even a boutique where you can buy some handcrafted holiday gifts. The opening is from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, November 30th, and through the weekend Saturday 10:00-5:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 – 5:00 pm.

Public Nature Art

Instead of playing on the playground at a park today, my 8 year old and I decided to make some nature art.  Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy, we collected objects and created these lovely art-nests.

Male.
Pine needles, leaves, pine cones, and unknown seed pods.

Female.
Pine needles, leaves, unknown berries, and mums.

Summer 2012


I saw so many things this summer, so much inspiration.  I feel like a changed woman.  I wonder how it will affect my art.

M Magazine

*My leggings were made with a hand cut jesus stamp on electric blue lycra.
